The Sea Myth Steampunk Necklace by Krystalchains The Sea Myth Steampunk Necklace by Krystalchains
I've been working on this one for a while now. Really wanted to create a gorgeous steampunk-themed necklace that was elaborate and incorporated all the colors I love so much.

Every piece of chain-maille is hand cut and woven by me.
The top layer is hand saw-cut for perfect closures and is helm-chain made of pure copper from a slightly triangular wire. The second and third layers are both byzantine made from pure enameled copper in different interwoven colors.

All the crystals are swarovski including the pearl.

The metal pendant is hand crafted by me using copper sheet and wire. It frames the focal pendant which is a sail ship carved into bone- a favorite find of mine.

I hope you enjoy!

For sale: $220

great work ^^ very creative.

the only part i am unsure of is switching material on the smaller chains, the mixed sections look good. but the dark brown in the center and brassy yellow on the shoulders just seems to stand out a bit much from the rest of the necklace.

keep up the good work

mmm ok, im sure once the brass and copper ages a bit the gap in coloring will not be so far, then it should look pretty cool x3

Thanks for the feedback :). I actually really like my color choice but looking at the pic I get why you say that. Unfortunately most of my stuff looks far better in person. The brass actually goes halfway down the chain cause it's woven into the copper. The brown is my favorite because of how beautiful it looks with those particular swarovskis. I wish I could take better pics :/. My lighting consists if two old lamps and my camera is my phone heh.

What a lovely necklace! The colours all go very well together and instead of a plastic string you used chain rings. That really brings it all together. :)

Hehe thanks! Ya no plastic strings for me. I couldn't deal with that. I'm all about the chainmaille.
